In early 2006, Corridor’s assignment from Image Sun Tanning Centers was to help them open numerous locations throughout Virginia and Maryland. Image Sun has positioned themselves as a better tanning concept with beautifully finished salons using unique modular tanning rooms and imported tanning beds. Requirements for the spaces required identifying locations that could accommodate their exacting width and configuration requirements and that could support the increased electrical and HVAC loads. As a franchise system, Corridor needed to facilitate the process with six separate Image Sun franchisees. In order to provide consistent and superior service, the Corridor retail team became intimately familiar with Image Sun’s standards while also understanding and responding to the unique needs and preferences of each operator. By the end of 2006, Corridor had coordinated signed leases for all six franchisees. As these stores are completed and opened throughout 2007, Image Sun will pursue an aggressive expansion building on the critical mass and traction established through the first phase of stores.
